The Adair County Sheriff’s Office has received 3 new PBT’s (Preliminary Breath Test devices).
Adair County Sheriff Josh Brockman met last week with Aimee Weddle, a Prevention Specialist at the Adanta Regional Prevention Center in Somerset, KY and discussed the need the sheriff's office had for breath test devices. Less than a week later, (Monday morning) Weddle delivered 3 new ones to the office. The PBT's were received from Adanta Behavioral Health Services in conjunction with a grant the Adair Co. Sheriff's Office received .
On behalf of the entire office, Sheriff Brockman wants to thank Ms. Weddle for her help, and Adanta for their work in the region. Sheriff Brockman says the PBT’s will be used roadside and at calls for investigative purposes.
The cost of PBT’s are approximately $600.00 each. With the grant and Weddle's assistance, the sheriff's office and Adair County taxpayers saved over $1800.00.
