An anonymous tip led to the arrest of two men at a Casey County country store yesterday.
Sheriff Chad Weddle responded to the call at the junction of HWY 49 & KY 1547 around 9:00amET on Thursday morning, May 16, 2019 where he found a vehicle in the parking lot with a flat tire. A passenger in the car, 35-year-old Ronald Justin Lynn of Hustonville, KY stated the driver, Ryan Goode, 37, of Liberty, KY was inside the store. Goode was found hiding in a dark "Employee Only" room. The citation states Goode appeared hyperactive and unstable on his feet.
Liberty Police Chief Steven Garrett and his K9 "Mako" also responded, with Mako alerting on the vehicle. A search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of 2 baggies of Crystal Methamphetamine, a Meth Pipe, 2 empty baggies, a set of Digital Scales, a Loaded 12 guage Shotgun, and a Police Scanner radio.
Goode was charged with Public Intoxication of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Methamphetamine & Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Firearm by Convicted Felon, & Possession/Use of a Radio that Sends & Receives Police Messages.
Lynn was arrested on outstanding Casey County warrants for Failure to Appear to answer charges of No Registration Plates, No Insurance, Possession of Marijuana & Drug Paraphernalia, DUI, & Driving on a Suspended/Revoked Operator's License. Also on warrants out of Clinton County for Failure to Appear to answer charges of Possession of Marijuana/Drug Paraphernalia, License to be In Possession, Receiving Stolen Property (under $10,000), No Insurance, Failure to Register Transfer of a Motor Vehicle, DUI-2nd Offense, & Possession of Controlled Substance-2nd Degree (drug unspecified).
Both men were lodged in the Casey County Jail.
