Food trucks are coming to town. “We are planning a community event,” stated Columbia Mayor Pamela Hoots. “Food trucks will be setup similar to a food court offering different varieties of food. This will be an event that families can attend, socialize, and visit with their friends and neighbors.”
The food trucks will be set up in the city parking lot. The event is scheduled to provide a variety of food from vendors throughout the state. As a part of the event, a portion of proceeds will be dedicated toward improvement to help children and the elderly in our community.
The city is wanting to offer activities that families will be able to participate in. Entertainment will also be provided.
If you have a food truck, call city hall to reserve your spot. Places will be limited. “We are attempting to have a variety of food choices for the community,” said Mayor Hoots. If two food trucks serve the same items, the first to reserve will get the spot.
The event is tentatively scheduled for Friday, July 12, 2019. For further information, contact City Hall at 270-384-2501. You can talk with Ann Marie Austin, Rhonda Loy, Tiffany Collins, or Jada Atwood.
