The Adair County Sheriffs Office investigated a 2-vehicle accident on Tuesday that resulted in one of the vehicles overturning.
Deputy Josh Durbin investigated the accident that occurred on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at 4:25pmCT at the KY61 south & Cumberland Parkway intersection. Tommy Ray, age 53 of Tennessee, was operating a 2018 Dodge Ram, attempting to make a left turn from the Cumberland Parkway exit ramp onto KY61. Mr. Ray pulled into the path of a 2004 Dodge Caravan, operated by 60-year-old Pat Morris of Columbia, KY who was traveling on KY61 headed towards town. The impact caused the Caravan to overturn, coming to rest approximately 200 feet from the point of impact.
Pat Morris was treated for head injuries by Adair County EMS and transported to TJ Health Columbia for further treatment. Tommy Ray was not injured.
The Adair County Sheriff’s Office is continuing the investigation.
