An Adair County man was arrested on Felony drug charges following a traffic stop.
At approximately 1:00amCT this morning, 26 year old Majid Alshaheen of Columbia, KY was arrested after Adair County Deputy Josh Durbin initiated a traffic stop on Callahan Loop in the Knifley community. K-9 Nitro alerted to the odor of illegal narcotics in the vehicle, and the subsequent search of the auto revealed Methamphetamine.
Alshaheen was arrested and lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail on charges of:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st degree (Methamphetamine)
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Operating on a Suspended license
The Adair County Sheriffs Office is continuing the investigation.
