LARUE CO. DEATH INVESTIGATION LEADS TO DISCOVERY OF 3RD BODY

**UPDATE**UPDATE**

Roanoke, Ky. (July 23, 2019) - Kentucky State Police Post 4 has released the names of two of the deceased victims that were found at the River Road residence in the Roanoke Community of LaRue County. One of the victims has been identified as Nicole Murray (39) of New Haven. The other victim has been identified as Brittany Wilson (33) of Louisville, who was found dismembered in a freezer at the same River Road residence from an incident that had occurred sometime before July 22nd  in Jefferson County.

KSP believes that Nicole Murray was a victim of a domestic situation in which she was shot twice and as a result died at the scene on River Road. It was determined that the suspect, after killing Murray, notified a family member and confessed to killing both Murray and Wilson before taking their own life. Based on evidence found at the River Road residence and information obtained from the family member, KSP notified Louisville Metro Police who in turn began a death investigation with assistance from KSP Post 4. LMPD and KSP’s search of a residence at 6004 Ashby Lane where able to confirm that in fact Wilson was murdered at the Ashby Lane residence, on a unknown date before July 22nd. The investigation into Wilson’s murder is being handled by LMPD’s Homicide Unit.

KSP believes the suspect (the third deceased), after killing Murray and speaking with a relative by phone, set the residence on fire before taking their own life. KSP is awaiting positive identification from the Kentucky Medical Examiner’s office before the name can be released. The investigation into the two deaths that occurred in Larue County is on-going by KSP Post 4.
