Russell County Sheriff Derek Polston and Deputy Nathan Ginn conducted an early morning search of property located off Hwy 1611 on Branchview Road in the Ono community of Russell County. 20 marijuana plants being grown were seized and arrests are forthcoming.
Sheriff Polston reminds all farmers and landowners in Russell County to be on the lookout for marijuana being grown on their property. This is prime time for plants to be seen in areas where they need sunlight to continue to grow.
