In the ongoing effort to combat the drug epidemic in Russell County, the Russell Co. Sheriff's Dept. executed a search warrant early Saturday, August 10, 2019 at a residence at 2924 East Hwy 80 in the Fairview/Fonthill Community of Russell County. Arrested at the scene was 51-year-old Torry Ryder of Russell Springs, KY. He was charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 2nd degree, 1st offense (Pills), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. More charges may be forthcoming on this individual, according to the R.C. Sheriff's Dept.
Deputy Kenny Perkins is heading the investigation. He was assisted at the scene by Chief Deputy Jerry Melton, Deputies Nathan Ginn, Luke Hughes & Nathan Bradshaw, along with Adair Co. Deputy Josh Durbin & his K-9 partner "Nitro".
