A continuing investigation by the Russell County Sheriffs Department for Selling and Trafficking of Illegal Drugs in the Fairview/Fonthill area of Russell County has resulted in additional charges being placed on 51-year-old Torry Ryder of Russell Springs.
According to Russell County Sheriff Derek Polston, the investigation which led to a search warrant being executed, started on August 9, 2019 and resulted in Ryder being charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 2nd degree, 1st offense (Pills), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Warrants executed on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 also charges Ryder with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 1st degree, 2nd offense (Methamphetamine) and Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 2nd degree, 1st offense (Pills).
The investigation is still ongoing and further arrests are possible. Deputy Kenny Perkins is heading the investigation.
