WAVE News has more information on two drug arrests made over the weekend.
Sheriff Derek Polston reports that on Saturday, August 31st, two subjects were arrested on drug charges in his Department’s continuing efforts to combat Russell County’s drug epidemic. The first complaint and investigation at 136 Frost Road in the Royville Community resulted in the arrest of Cody McNay, 26, of Russell Springs. McNay was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Methamphetamine) and Tampering with Physical Evidence,1st Degree. He additionally was served with 3 Outstanding Warrants.
The other drug related complaint was at 25 Branchview Lane in the Ono Community of Russell County and resulted in the arrest of Ted Michael Ricketts, 24, of Russell Springs. Ricketts was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Methamphetamine) and Tampering with Physical Evidence.
Both cases will be presented to the Russell County Grand Jury for possible indictments.
Deputy Kenny Perkins is heading the investigation. He was assisted by other members of the Russell County Sheriffs Office and Kentucky State Police.
