On Monday, September 2, 2019 at approximately 1:00amCT, Adair County Sheriff K-9 Deputy Josh Durbin and KSP Trooper Alan Shirley initiated a traffic stop 4 miles north of Columbia on KY 61N. The stop was on a blue, 2004 Chevrolet operated by 33-year-old Juan Mulderuado of Georgia. During the roadside investigation it was suspected that narcotics may be in the vehicle, so Deputy Durbin deployed his K-9 "Nitro". The K-9 indicated a positive hit for the odor of narcotics, and as a result methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were located in the auto.
 
Juan Mulderuado was arrested and lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail on the following charges:
  • Possession of Methamphetamine 
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and
  • No Operators License 

 

The Adair County Sheriffs Office is continuing the investigation.
