In the continued battle to combat the drug epidemic in Russell County, 2 Russell Countians were arrested on Wednesday.
According to Russell County Sheriff Derek Polston, a search warrant was executed at 3372 West Hwy 76 in the old Foley store area of Russell County. Arrested at the scene were Christopher D. Smothers, age 35, who was charged with Trafficking In A Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st offense (Methamphetamine). Rebeka Devore, age 37, was charged with Possession of Marijuana (less than 8oz) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Sheriff Polston says more arrests are forthcoming.
