Officers with the Columbia Police Dept. arrested an Adair County woman on drug charges yesterday in connection with a drug investigation that began on Sunday, October 6th, 2019.
25-year-old Alexandria Foster of Columbia, KY was taken into custody at her residence on Burksville Street on Thursday night at approx. 9:00pmCT. Foster was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, a class D Felony.
The investigation began on Sunday, October 6th, 2019 when Foster, who at the time was working at a local care facility as a CNA, was found by fellow employees to have been in possession of a small baggie containing a white powder substance. Foster was drug tested and her employment was subsequently terminated from the facility.
Columbia Police Officers were called and began an investigation which also utilized K9 "Gunner" and his handler Officer John Dial. After a brief investigation, Officer Adam Cravens arrested Alexandria Foster and lodged her in the Adair Co. Regional Jail. Officer Cravens was assisted by CPD Officer Jamie Cole and Adair Co. Deputy Josh Durbin.
The Cabinet for Health and Family Services currently has a separate case against Foster.
