Effective at 6:00pmCT on Friday, October 11, 2019 the Burn Ban that has been in place in Adair County will be lifted. Please keep in mind we are still under the Fall Burn Ban set in place by the KY Division of Forestry, and open burning is still prohibited from 6:00am-6:00pm within 150 feet of any woodland or brush land, pursuant to KRS 149.400.
We will continue to watch the drought monitors and if the situation worsens, we may be required to put the ban back in place. Please be mindful of wind speeds and your surroundings if you plan on burning anything outside.
