Edmonton, Ky. October 14, 2019) - Trooper Jonathan Paull is investigating a collision that occurred Saturday, October 12th, 2019 at approximately 4:00pmCT on Glasgow Road at the intersection of Wisdom Road, approx. 5 miles west of Edmonton, KY. 34-year-old Tyra Cross of Gamaliel, KY was operating a 2003 Chevy van eastbound on Wisdom Road attempting to turn onto Glasgow Road, when she failed to see a 2002 Harley Davidson Motorcycle traveling westbound. As Cross turned onto Glasgow Rd, she struck the motorcycle being operated by 52-year-old Darrell Stephens of Edmonton, KY.
Cross was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured. Stephens was not wearing a helmet and was airlifted from the scene to Vanderbilt Hospital in Tennessee, where he is listed in critical condition.
KSP Trooper Paull was assisted at the scene by additional members of the Kentucky State Police, Metcalfe County Sheriff’s Department, Barren-Metcalfe EMS, Edmonton Fire Department, and Summer Shade Fire Department.
