On Monday, October 21, 2019 at 11:30pmET, Officers with the Campbellsville Police Department responded to the Windstream building at the intersection of North Central Avenue and East Broadway in reference to an individual passed out in a vehicle. Once officers arrived, they discovered a male passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle in the alley beside the Windstream building. Once they were able to awaken the male, he was identified as 22-year-old Dylan Tate of Campbellsville, KY.
After an investigation, Officers determined that Dylan Tate was under the influence. As Officers attempted to place him under arrest, he began to resist. After a brief struggle, Tate was arrested and charged with Operating on a Suspended or Revoked Operators License, No Insurance, DUI 2nd, Menacing, Resisting Arrest, Criminal Mischief 2nd degree, and Assault 3rd degree on a police officer. Both officers sustained minor injuries.
Campbellsville Police Dept. Officers Jacob Hedgespeth and Officer Aaron Fields investigated the incident.
