According to Adair County Sheriff Josh Brockman, on Friday, October 25th, 2019 at 1:25pmCT, Chief Deputy Justin Cross was investigating a complaint of suspicious activity on Holstein Lane. During his investigation, Deputy Cross came into contact with 56-year-old Lewis Burton of Casey County, KY. Multiple baggies of suspected methamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia were found to be in his possession. Items commonly used in the sell of illegal substances were also seized, such as baggies and digital scales.
Lewis Burton was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree (Methamphetamine) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The Adair County Sheriff's Office is continuing the investigation.
