On Thursday, November 28, 2019 at 9:25pmCT, Adair County Sheriff's Deputy Chandler Staten observed a 1999 F-150 fail to stop at a traffic control device on Hwy 55 South. Deputy Staten initiated a stop of the vehicle and as a result, arrested 47-year-old Chris Coomer of Columbia, KY who was chargd with: Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Methamphetamine), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Failure to Obey Traffic Control Device. Coomer was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail.

 

Deputy Staten was assisted at the scene by Columbia Police Dept. Officer John Dial and K-9 "Gunner".
