The Adair County Sheriffs Office responded to the single vehicle accident this morning (Monday, Dec. 9th) at 7:25amCT, 10 miles south of Columbia on Hwy 55 South.
Patricia Williams of Jamestown, KY was traveling north on KY55 and failed to negotiate a curve. Williams lost control and the vehicle went into a skid, traveled across the southbound lane, over an embankment and overturned.
Williams was treated by Adair County EMS and transported to TJ Health Columbia, where she was then flown by helicopter to the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, KY for treatment of head injuries.
Deputy Brandon Hitch investigated the collision. He was assisted on scene by Sheriff Josh Brockman.
