The City Of Columbia has been notified by U.S. Dept. of Agriculture State Director Hilda Legg, that Columbia has received $30,000 from USDA Rural Development to aid in the purchase of a truck & trailer to be used as a Drug Education Vehicle that'll be utilized throughout the community, specifically within the Adair Co. School System to promote awareness of the dangers of abuse and addiction.
Mayor Pam Hoots stated she would like to thank USDA for their support and involvement during this grant process. She went on to say that the staff at USDA is always a pleasure to work with.
