TRAFFIC STOP RESULTS IN ARREST OF 4 JEFFERSON CO. RESIDENTS


The Adair County Sheriffs Office recovered a stolen vehicle and arrested 4 Jefferson County residents on various charges early this morning (Wednesday, Dec. 11th).

 
At 12:44amCT, Adair County K-9 Deputy Josh Durbin initiated a traffic stop on a 2015 Ford F-150 on Dohoney Trace Road. A roadside investigation revealed the truck was entered as missing from Jefferson County, KY.  K-9 “Nitro” also had a positive indicator that narcotics were in the auto. A search of the vehicle resulted in methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia being located. 

Kenneth Asbury, 30, of Louisville, KY was arrested on the following charges:
Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st degree (methamphetamine), Receiving Sstolen Property over $10,000; No Operators License; and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

A passenger, 42-year-old Tiffany Cochran of Louisville, KY was also arrested on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st degree (Methamphetamine); Possession of Marijuana, Tampering with Physical Evidence, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

 
Columbia Police Officers Jamie Cole and Trevor Foster arrested 2 additional passengers: Cassidy Davis, 21, and Stephen Harris, 47, both of Louisville, KY on Shoplifting and Public Intoxication charges. 

The Adair County Sheriffs Office is continuing the investigation.
