A head-on collision occurred just west of Campbellsville at 12:30pmET on Wednesday afternoon. Taylor County Sheriff Allen Newton reports that 31-year-old Latasha Thompson of Campbellsville, KY was traveling west on U.S. 68 (Greensburg Road) when she turned into the path of 80-year-old Wendall Gilbert of Campbellsville,KY. The vehicle's hit head on. Thompson's vehicle waws then forced into a 3rd vehicle being driven by Teddy Wright.
Latasha Thompson was airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital for treatment of unknown injuries. Gilbert & a passenger, Judith Gilbert, were ransported to Taylor Regional Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Wright was not injured.
Sgt. mark Dicken investigated the accident. The Taylor Co. Fire Dept. also responded and assisted on scene.
