On Saturday, Dec. 14th, 2019 Adair County Deputy Chandler Staten responded to the collision 7 miles north of Columbia on KY 551. Upon arrival and contact with the operator, Deputy Staten observed an odor of alcoholic beverages. Following a roadside test, 30-year-old Aaron Hobaugh 30 of Columbia, KY was arrested and lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail for Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol (Aggravated circumstances). Hough refused any medical attention from Adair Co. EMS personnel.
The Adair County Sheriff's Office is continuing the investigation.
