JURY FINDS CASEY CO. MAN GUILTY OF SEXUALLY ASSAULTING MINORS

By Elizabeth Kuhn

Frankfort, KY - Attorney General Daniel Cameron announced today that a Casey County jury found a Windsor, KY man, 44-year-old Jason Alexander Reusser, guilty of 28 counts of first, second, and third-degree rape, first and second-degree sodomy, incest, first-degree criminal abuse, and intimidation of a participant in a legal process.

The Casey County jury recommended a maximum penalty for each count to be served consecutively, totaling 865 years. Circuit Court Judge Judy D. Vance-Murphy will issue final sentencing on March 9 in Casey Circuit Court.

"Our Office of Special Prosecutions is committed to working closely with local law enforcement in the investigation and prosecution of complex cases," said General Cameron. "We work hard to provide these resources to our communities so that, together, we can be a voice for the voiceless and ensure that child sexual abuse is prosecuted to the fullest extent."

Office of the Attorney General Special Prosecutor Dana Todd has prosecuted the case since 2018, working with multiple agencies, including the Casey County Sheriff's office, the Department of Community Based Services, and Children's Advocacy Centers in various counties.

Brian Wright, Commonwealth's Attorney for the 29th Judicial Circuit, covering Adair and Casey counties, stated, "I commend the work of Ms. Todd in the case and appreciate the Office of Special Prosecutions for their assistance."
