On Saturday, January 4th, 2020 at 1:04pmCT, Adair County Deputy Chandler Staten and Sheriff Josh Brockman were dispatched to a vehicle vs rock wall collision 9 miles west of Columbia on the Louie B Nunn Cumberland Parkway.
Thu J. Musick, 26, of Nashville, TN was operating a 2008 Honda traveling east on the Parkway when she encountered a brief sleet storm that covered the roadway with ice. Musick lost control of her vehicle, striking a rock wall off the right-hand shoulder of the roadway. Musick was not injured. A passenger, 22-year-old Nadia Omar of Nashville, TN was treated at the scene by Adair EMS and then transported to T.J. Health Columbia.
During the same time, 3 more collisions were called in for a total of 4 accidents in a 1/4 mile stretch. The other accidents were non-injury and were investigated by the Adair County Sheriffs Office.
Agencies responding included ACSO, Adair EMS, and the Columbia-Adair County Fire Dept.
