On Friday, January 31, 2020 CPD Officers were dispatched to an injury accident on Walker Street just after 10PM. Upon arrival, units observed a Pontiac G6 which had flipped upside down after making impact with a parked Ford pickup.
The driver was located outside of a residence and it appeared he was intoxicated. Bobby Spencer, 43, of Columbia, KY was placed into custody and charged with DUI, Operating on Suspended License, Failure to Produce Insurance Card, and Criminal Mischief 1st degree. Spencer was taken from the scene to TJ Health Columbia where he consented to having his blood drawn. He was then transported and lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail.
Officer Adam Cravens made the arrest. He was assisted on scene by Officer John Dial as well as Adair County Deputies Justin Cross and Derek Padgett. Adair EMS also responded to the scene.
