3 candidates have filed for office in Russell and Adair County according to both County Clerks Office. City Council members as well as a couple of the county seats for school board members will be on the ballot for the November General Election this year. In Russell County 2 incumbent school board members have already filed for re-election... Joy Wilson and Gerald Murray have already filed the necessary paperwork to run. In Adair County, Ben Burris has filed and is seeking a seat on the Columbia City Council. Anyone interested in filing, have until June 2nd to file the paper work to be eligible to be on the ballot in November.
