Adair County Elementary School Academic Team participated in and had BIG wins in the District 53 Governor's Cup on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 and Saturday February 8, 2020.
All placing students will advance on the Regional Competition, on February 29, 2020 at Clinton County Middle School. Congratulations to all students who participated, coaches, and parents! Good luck at Regional Competition. They were recognized and awarded medals/trophies in the following: 1st Place FPS, 1st Place Quick Recall, 1st Place Over All District and the Hume Sportsmanship Award (this award is voted on by all four schools). On Saturday, February 8th, the remainder of the team of Written Assessment participants in the areas of Arts & Humanities, Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies along with Quick Recall participants competed in District competition with Campbellsville Elementary, Green County Intermediate, and Taylor County Elementary schools.

At 11:20am, Quick Recall began with Adair County Elementary School (ACES) competing against Taylor County, winning the match with a score of 23-8. In the second round, ACES competed in the winner'sbracket where they faced Campbellsville, winning with a final score of 16-15. ACES Quick Recall earned a bye for round three and in the fourth round, Adair was victorious of a final score of 14-13 over Campbellsville. ACES swept in Quick Recall, earning first place honors, competing against excellent teams.

The Awards Ceremony was held in the gymnasium of Green County Elementary School following the last Quick Recall match. Mrs. Donna Young, Principal of Green County Intermediate School, welcomed all students, coaches, and families and then presented the awards to the top five in the written assessment categories.
