In a release from the City of Columbia today, work continues to progress on expansion of drug enforcement policies in the city. “We have just received a grant from the USDA for a drug enforcement vehicle,” said Chief Jason Cross. “This vehicle will be equipped for educational purposes to be utilized in the school system and public activities in our community,” he noted. The drug enforcement vehicle is scheduled to be equipped by this summer.
The City of Columbia also implemented a Drug Task Force and is continuing to work on enforcement of drug tips to the department.
