This morning (Tuesday) the Russell County Sheriffs responded to Old Columbia Road to assist RSPD Officer Matt Parrish on an active theft investigation case that had just occurred in Russell Springs. The homeowner had confronted and held one of the suspects until Officers arrived. The investigation continued into the County off Old Columbia Road where a total of 6 individuals were arrested.
3 of the individuals were arrested by Officer Matt Parish:
- Jack Lusk, 32, of Owensboro, KY - Receiving Stolen Property (under $10,000), 2 counts of Non-payment of Fines, Contempt of Court, and Failure to Appear
- Byron Marcum, 36, of Russell Springs, KY -Receiving Stolen Property (under $10,000)
- Alex Oaks,33, of Russell Springs, KY - Receiving Stolen Property (under $10,000). He was also charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (pills) by the RCSO
3 other individuals were arrested by the RCSO:
- Nathan Irvin, 28, of Russell Springs, KY - served with 3 outstanding warrants
- Stephanie Bennett, 32, of Jamestown, KY - Possession of Methamphetamine, 1st degree, 1st offense and Possession of a Controlled Substance (drug unspecified), and was served with an outstanding warrant
- Cayce Fowler, 22, of Louisville, KY - served with an outstanding warrant
All 6 individuals were lodged in the Russell County Detention Center. The investigation is ongoing.
