Thomas Blackburn, 37, of Russell Springs was taken into custody by Deputy Melton with the Russell County Sheriff’s Office just before 9 a.m. Wednesday. Blackburn was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance 1^st Degree, 1^st Offense, (Meth), Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Marijuana.  Blackburn was lodged in the Russell County Detention Center.
