The Flash Flood Watch is in effect until 4:00amCT on Wednesday for
* A portion of south central Kentucky, including the following
areas, Adair, Allen, Barren, Butler, Clinton, Cumberland,
Edmonson, Green, Hart, Logan, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell, Simpson
and Warren.
* Several inches of rain have fallen across the flash flood watch
area this morning, with some locations pushing over 6 inches of
rain. Another round of showers and storms are expected to move
through later this afternoon and evening, and this will likely
lead to additional flash flooding issues given very saturated
soils in place.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to
Flash Flooding. Flash Flooding is a very dangerous situation. You
should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should
Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
