On Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 2:14pmCT, the Adair County Sheriffs Office was dispatched to an injury collision at the intersection of Industrial Drive and KY 55 north, approximately 4 miles north of Columbia.
The preliminary investigation indicates that 38-year-old Joshua Honald of Hardin County, KY was traveling north on Hwy 55 operating a 2018 Ford F-150, when he fell asleep at the wheel and left the roadway. His vehicle then struck a 2008 Saturn being driven by 20-year-old Jodeci Miller of Columbia, KY who was waiting to pull from Industrial Drive.
Both parties were treated for minor injuries.
The collision was investigated by K-9 Deputy Chandler Staten. He was assisted on-scene by Deputy Chris Tweedy.
