According to Russell Springs Police Chief Tim Pierce, Officer Debra Necessary asked for consent to search a vehicle at the Valero station on Hwy 127 in R.S. that had been stopped for a cancelled registration plate. Consent to search the vehicle was granted. Officers located suspected Methamphetamine, suspected heroin, drug paraphernalia, and a stolen firearm.
Hannah Dabney, 18, of Jamestown, KY was arrested and charged with Receiving Stolen Property (firearm), Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st degree 3rd or > offense (Methamphetamine)(enhancement), No Registration Receipt, Failure of Owner to Maintain Required Insurance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, No Registration Plates, and Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st degree 1st offense (heroin).
Officer Debra Necessary was assisted on scene by Lt. Bobby Pritchard and FTO Officer Kyle Wilson.
