Greensburg, KY - On September 1st, 2021 at approximately 8:03amCT, Troopers from Kentucky State Police Post 15 responded to a 2-vehicle injury collision on U.S. 68 in Greensburg, KY that resulted in one fatality.
During the preliminary investigation, it was determined that Whitney Brown, age 30, of Greensburg, KY was operating a 2011 Mazda west bound on Highway 68 when she crossed the center line for unknown reasons and struck an east bound 2018 Chevy pickup head on. The Chevy was operated by Maxie Houk, age 28, of Greensburg, KY who attempted to swerve to avoid the collision but was unsuccessful. Brown was pronounced deceased at scene by the Green County Coroner. Houk, along with three juvenile passengers in Browns vehicle, were all transported to Jane Todd Crawford hospital by Green County EMS.
This collision remains under investigation by Tpr. Weston Sullivan. Tpr. Sullivan was assisted at the scene by other KSP personnel, Green County Sheriffs Department, Green County Fire/EMS, and the State Highway department.
