Columbia Police went to a residence on Bridgeport Circle on Thursday night, January 20, 2022 to attempt to locate a subject with multiple active warrants.
Upon arrival, Officers did locate and make contact with the subject inside the residence. During this time it was discovered male was in possession of suspected methamphetamine.
Joseph D. Hammond, 35, of Columbia was served with three warrants as well as being charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). He was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail.
Officer Justin Cross made the arrest. He was assisted on scene by Officers Trevor Foster and Holly Necessary.
