On Wednesday, January 26, 2022 Columbia Police Department Officers went to a residence on Greensburg Road approximately 6 miles from the city limits and served a sealed indictment on a male subject after concluding a drug trafficking investigation.
Officers on scene made contact and took Larry Shawn Phillips, 47, of Columbia into custody. Phillips was charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine) and Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (Carfentanil or Fentanyl derivatives).
Officer Justin Cross was the primary investigator for the case. He was assisted during the arrest by Officer Holly Necessary and Sgt. Evan Burton.
