On Sunday, May 8, 2022 at 2:39 a.m. K-9 Deputy Chandler Staten was dispatched to a residence in the Sparksville community 9 miles south of Columbia. EMS had been sent to the location on a medical run but encountered a female, later identified as 20-year-old Angelina Kinnett of Columbia, who was being combative and had a large stick in her hand and refused to lay it down, per their request.
Deputy Staten took Kinnett into custody without incident. She was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail for public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance 1st degree (methamphetamine).
The ACSO is continuing the investigation.
