A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9:00 PM CDT FOR THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES IN THE WAVE LISTENING AREA: ADAIR, RUSSELL, CASEY, CLINTON, CUMBERLAND, GREEN, METCALFE, PULASKI, & TAYLOR.
Scattered strong to possibly severe thunderstorms will move across the outlook area this afternoon and evening. The main threats will be damaging winds, large hail, and frequent lightning. Heavy rainfall will be possible as well and some very localized flooding of poor drainage areas will be possible in some areas.
Some additional thunderstorms may affect southern Kentucky late in the overnight period. Damaging winds and isolated large hail would be the main threats. Some patchy dense fog is possible overnight across southern Indiana and portions of northern Kentucky.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday...
Another round of strong to severe storms will be possible again on Thursday. Damaging winds, large hail, and isolated tornadoes will be possible. Heavy rainfall may result in localized flooding in some areas.
