On Friday, May 20, 2022, K-9 Deputy Chandler Staten responded to an incident on Lampton Lane. Upon arrival he made contact with Levi Hausendorfer, who was believed to be under the influence of an intoxicating substance.
Upon his arrest, suspected methamphetamine and Suboxen was located on him. Hausendorfer was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail on the following charges:
- public intoxication (excludes alcohol)
- possession of a controlled substance 1st degree (methamphetamine) &
- possession of a controlled substance 2nd degree
The sheriffs office is continuing the investigation.
A second arrest occurred when K-9 Deputy Chandler Staten and Deputy Derek Padgett initiated a traffic stop on Jamestown Street for a registration violation. The vehicle, a 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt, was operated by Cody Dix, 23, of Columbia.
