On Sunday, July 31, 2022 at 5:06pmCT, Deputy Kenny Perkins initiated a traffic stop in the Breeding community of Adair County. The operator, Billy Collins, 44, of Columbia, KY was suspected of having illegal substances on him.
Suspected methamphetamine was located along with drug paraphernalia. In addition there was an outstanding arrest warrant from Adair District Court.
Collins was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail on the following charges:
- Possession of a controlled substance 1st degree (methamphetamine)
- Possession of drug paraphernalia and
- Outstanding Adair District Court bench warrant
The Adair County Sheriff's Office is continuing the investigation.
