Steve Wariner along with Shania Twain, Hillary Lindsey, Gary Nicholson and David Malloy, will be inducted Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame during the 52nd Anniversary Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame Gala on Sunday, October 30th, 2022 at the Music City Center. The five music stars have all been chosen for the list due to their connection to Nashville, and because their songs began experiencing success at least 20 years ago.
Steve Wariner is being inducted into the Veteran Songwriter Artist category. He wrote some of his biggest hits, including “Where Did I Go Wrong,” “Holes in the Floor of Heaven” and “Two Teardrops,” among others. Wariner has also had songs recorded by other artists as well, such as Keith Urban’s “Where the Blacktop Ends,” Clint Black‘s “Nothin’ But the Taillights,” and Garth Brooks' “Longneck Bottle,” a song Wariner recorded with Garth Brooks.
Steve says he's honored to be included in this year’s class of 2022 Nashville Songwriters Hall of Famers and says he was a songwriter long before he was a recording artist. He wants to thank all the artists who have recorded his songs thru the years and says he is truly humbled.
Again, the induction ceremony will be held during the 52nd Anniversary Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame Gala on Sunday, October 30th, 2022 at the Music City Center.
