FRANKFORT, Ky. - A presidential visit to the Commonwealth is planned for next week.
On Monday, August 8, 2022 President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden will travel to Eastern Kentucky to visit families affected by recent flooding. They'll join Governor Beshear to survey recovery efforts at a FEMA State Disaster Recovery Center.
The death count from the eastern Kentucky floods remains at 37 across five counties. Kentucky State Police are reporting two missing persons.
The Team EKY Flood Relief Fund is now up to over $3.6 million. The first of those dollars have paid for funerals for flood victims.
