On Wednesday evening, August 17, 2022 Columbia Police Officers arrived at Columbia Christian Church’s park pavilion, located off North Reed Street, to check a suspicious vehicle.
K9 Matt was dispatched to the scene and alerted officers of suspected narcotics. A search of the vehicle yielded findings of suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Gage Scheel, 31, of Columbia, KY was placed into custody and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail.
Sgt. Drew Conn made the arrest. He was assisted on scene by Officer Josh Durbin and Sgt. Evan Burton.
