RSVFD Successfully Contains Brush Fire on Milton Height Road

Russell Springs, KY – The Russell Springs Volunteer Fire Department (RSVFD) is proud to announce the successful containment of a brush fire that occurred earlier this week on November 8th, at 130 Milton Heights Road.

At approximately 11:48 AM, RSVFD received an emergency call reporting a brush fire. Responding promptly, a team of 10 dedicated firefighters reached the location and worked tirelessly for approximately 2.5 hours to control and eventually extinguish the fire.

We are relieved to report that there were no injuries to any individuals, and the property damage was minimal. The professionalism and efficiency of our firefighters played a crucial role in this successful operation.

Burn Ban Reminder

The RSVFD would like to remind the community that a burn ban is currently in effect. Burning is strictly prohibited between the hours of 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM. This measure is in place to prevent the occurrence of such incidents and to ensure the safety of our community and natural resources.
We urge all residents to adhere to this ban and report any violations they may observe. Your cooperation is essential in preventing future fires and maintaining the safety of our community.
