On Saturday, November 11, 2023 Joseph Harrison, age 36 of Columbia, KY was located by the Adair County Sheriffs Office on Guthrie Street in the city limits of Columbia. The Sheriffs Office had been conducting surveillance on the home when they saw Harrison come out into the front yard, before returning inside the house. Deputies, along with KSP Troopers, surrounded the residence and was able to get Harrison to come out and surrender to authorities. 

Harrison was charged with Theft By Unlawful Taking over $1,000 but under $10,000 (an auto) and Receiving Stolen Property over $1,000. Additional charges of Burglary are pending DNA evidence results. He was lodged in the Adair Regional Jail by Chief Deputy Brandon Hitch and Deputy Josh Durbin.
