The Samaritan Purse - Operation Christmas Child 2023 National Collection Week has come to a close with 3,300 shoebox gifts collected in Adair County. This is the first time Adair County has surpassed 3000 shoebox gifts since 2018. The most shoebox’s ever collected was 2016 when 3,777 Gospel Opportunities were collected.

The shoe box gifts will now be transported to the Atlanta Processing Center. From there the boxes will go to children in more than 100 different countries around the world.

Co-Area Coordinator Mark Fudge said,”On behalf of Samaritans Purse, Denise and I want to thank each and every individual, Business and Church in Adair County that made this possible. So many people have donated their time, resources, and finances that it’s just overwhelming. Please pray for the boxes now, as they begin the next part of their journey.  The boxes will eventually arrive in the hands of a child in great need of the items in the box, and more importantly, the opportunity to hear the gospel message.”
