As mentioned in a news story last week, the window for candidates to file for office (for county and state) is now open. Commonwealth Attorney Matthew Leveridge has filed for re-election to the office. Leveridge has served as Commonwealth’s Attorney for the 57th Circuit since 2007. The term for a Commonwealth’s Attorney in Kentucky is 6 years.
As of Monday, November 20, 2023 Leveridge is the only candidate who has filed for the office.
