Two people were injured in a 2 vehicle accident yesterday morning in Russell Springs.
Just after 11:00amCT on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, emergency officials were dispatched to the accident off Highway 127. According to the police report, Kelly Sonnabend, age 57, of Dunville, was stopped behind a car turning left onto Stephens Lane, when Lloyd Newton age 54, also of Dunville, couldn’t stop in time and struck the rear of the Sonnabend vehicle. A passenger in the Sonnabend vehicle, Shoshannah Sonnabend, and Newton were both taken to the Russell County Hospital by EMS for treatment of injuries.
