The Columbia - Adair County Fire Department was dispatched at approximately 1:13pmCT on Friday, October 18, 2025 to 2791 Jones Chapel Road on a report of a lawn mower on fire that was sitting under the back deck of the home. 

Upon arrival, firefighters found heavy fire conditions coming from the side of the residence. Fire crews made an offensive attack on the fire and it was quickly brought under control. Firefighters then conducted an overhaul to help prevent a rekindle.

There were 9 firefighters on scene for approximately 2.5 hours.

No injuries were reported at the time of the incident.
